Last weekend we spent a photographic afternoon in Lisbon with Rui and Cristiana from Love is my Favorite Color. Rui (like most guys I know) is all about the gadgets, and since he’s a photographer, he’s all about the photo gadgets… and one of his newest toys is an old-school Polaroid camera that he brought along to play with. I hadn’t shot Polaroids for years, and never on anything as old as this camera, but it was really great to mess around with something different for a change… the finality of having a print in your hand straight away is so cool, and it forces you to slow down and get everything right (composition, exposure) on the first try, because there’s no darkroom or Photoshop to fix your mistakes afterwards.
These images are a mix of DSLR and Instagrams, and the photos of Luis and I (and Zé the dog) were taken by Rui on my camera.
I Love this post!! 🙂 Best ever!! I miss this already..

That camera looks amazing! I love polaroids, the only thing – I have the newer edition Fujifilm. How good is that old-school camera that you had and how expensive are the film sets? Thanks 🙂

Hi Alisa, I´m afraid I don´t know the answer to your questions because it isn´t my camera, it belongs to a friend and I took a few shots with it, but don´t know anything about it. Sorry I can´t help!
