Óbidos is a medieval town about an hour´s drive north from Lisbon, on the west coast. One of my favourite things about this place is that it´s completely surrounded by old stone walls and you can walk the entire circumference of the town along them… it gives you a really great veiw over the town and the surrounding countryside.
Obidos is my favorite destination in Portugal, besides Lisbon 🙂 walk around on the city-walls and take very nice photos; visit the creative decorated bookshop in an old church and see the church with original ceramic-covered inside and also buy traditional ceramics and drink Ginjinha in Obidos!
It really is a great town, isn´t it? I have visited many times and it never gets old. 🙂
yes, have been walked around for a few hours and dream to be there again, one day maybe 🙂
I’ve never visited Portugal, but these photographs certainly make me want to change that – just beautiful!
You should definitely come and visit! Portugal is amazing, and still relatively undiscovered. 🙂
