Last summer I spent a few days out in Comporta photographing the brand new Independente hotel, Independente Comporta. Independente Comporta features 34 Villas, from studios to 5-bedroom courtyard homes, and a 40-bedroom hotel. Their restaurant, Maroto, is headed by chef David Vieira. “Fun and engaging, Maroto was designed to be in perfect harmony with its surroundings. Our commitment to Alentejo flavours is evident in each dish served. We work closely with local producers who maintain sustainable practices, ensuring their freshness but also the inclusion of the community.”
