YON Living | Interior Photographer in Lisbon

Over the last few months I have photographed a series of homes throughout Lisbon for YON Living: “Unforgettable shared living experiences in boutique homes for those with the freedom to live and work from anywhere” These are some of my favourite images from several of the houses. Wings Magazine for Eurowings | May/June 2022

In the spring I was contacted by Wings magazine to photograph a feature on the Shist Villages of central Portugal. With the help and guidance of the team at Aldeias do Xisto, the writer and editor, Lydia and I spent three days road tripping through this relatively unknown region of the country, which in many places seems to have stopped in time. A region of mountains and rivers, small stone villages and narrow, winding roads, this is a part of the country that I haven´t explored much and this assignment was a revelation for me. I will definitely be back…

Cura Restaurant | Food Photographer in Portugal

Towards the end of last year I had the opportunity to photograph Cura, at the Lisbon Four Seasons Hotel. Shortly after I visited, they were awarded their first Michelin Star under executive chef Pedro Pena Bastos, for which they deserve a round of applause!

National Geographic Traveller | October 2021

Earlier this summer I was invited by National Geographic Traveller UK to spend a few days in Porto, the capital of the North, to photograph a travel story that has just been published in their latest issue. I love this beautiful city and was thrilled to have the chance to explore her properly as it had been several years since I’d last visited. The article, by Audrey Gillan, is quite food focused which meant I got to visit several of the best restaurants in town (perks of the job!). The people of the north are well known for their hospitality…

Do Largo – Comida Local & Mercearia

Mercearia Do Largo, in Évora´s historic district, recently underwent extensive renovations and have reopened with a brand new look on one of the cities most picturesque squares. In collaboration with Be Aromatic, a local organic herb farm, they have revamped the menu: all locally sourced, all organic and all seasonal ingredients. Their menu is all 100% delicious (and I would know because I ate EVERYTHING) and not only good for you, but also good for the planet. In addition to the restaurant, they also sell Be Aromatic herbs and products, as well as several other locally sourced, organic goodies such…

Observador Lifestyle Magazine | July 2021

Observador Lifestyle Magazine The cookbook, Sal Verde, that I published with Be Aromatic was featured in the most recent edition of the Observador Lifestyle here in Portugal and we are both proud and grateful to have had an article about our work in this lovely magazine! Many thanks to Ana Dias Ferreira, for the feature, and if you’d like to buy a copy of the book (because obviously you want to, why wouldn’t you?!) you can get the English edition HERE and the Portuguese HERE.

Sal Verde – A cookbook

This cookbook project was many years in the making, a passion project for both Rute, the author, and I. We have been friends for many years and had often talked about one day making a cookbook. When the opportunity arose, we jumped at the chance, not knowing that it would be almost 3 years later that our book would be printed and on the shelf. The entire production took place on Rute´s farm in the Alentejo and we cooked and styled and photographed and tasted and then cooked again and then photographed again… and then again just one more time…

Passeite | Organic olive oil in Portugal

Marije and Gui are a Dutch-Portuguese couple producing top quality olive oil in the Coimbra region of Portugal. We have known them for almost a decade and these two are powerhouses, always up to something new and innovative. Gui opened and runs a restaurant, Taberna do Azeite, in the old part of Coimbra (closed now thanks to COVID) that focused especially on paring olive oils with small plates of food. And Marije is the chief farming lady: planting, clearing, pruning, harvesting, pressing, bottling and packaging their organic, small batch extra virgin olive oil for their brand, Passeite. Safe to say…

Table Magazine – Vol 4

I have been a big fan of Table Magazine ever since they launched their first issue a few years ago. The styling and photography is always so clean and beautiful, so it is beyond an honour to have my work published here! And it’s even sweeter because the article is an interview with my good friend and collaborator on many projects, Rute Porto, of Be Aromatic. She recently published a beautiful cookbook which I also photographed (more on that to come) and I’m proud to see her get the recognition she very much deserves.

Qantas Airlines – January 2019

Well hi there. Only a year and a half late, but I’m just popping in to share a feature I had in Qantas Airlines inflight magazine last year. Croatia is one of my favourite countries in the world and Dubrovnik is mindblowingly beautiful. I would go back again in a heartbeat and am thrilled to have these images published. Heres a link to the full magazine, online version.
