Be Aromatic | Organic Herb Farm in Evora
I have been working with Rute and Margarida at Be Aromatic for more than a decade now… I collaborated with them on the production of their cookbook Sal Verde a few years ago and more recently on the relaunch of the website. Be Aromatic | Organic Herb Farm in Evora
Do Largo | Restaurant Photographer in Portugal
Do Largo restaurant is a breath of fresh air in the city of Evora, the heart of the Alentejo and home of traditional Portuguese style food. While most places in town focus on lunch and dinner, Do Largo specialises in amazing breakfasts and puts on a spectacular brunch. With a strong focus on sustainability, the majority of their produce is locally sourced, seasonal and organic wherever possible. Inside the restaurant they also have a small shop where you can find all Be Aromatic products packaged and in bulk, wines from local producers, homemade jams, as well as oat granola and…
Hotel das Amoreiras | Hotel Photographer in Lisbon
The beautiful Hotel das Amoreiras is nestled in the heart of Lisbon, a discreet luxury boutique hotel in Lisbon’s exclusive garden square: Jardim das Amoreiras. An insider’s address in the heart of Lisbon for the true aesthete seeking the comfort accommodation expected by the modern traveller. I first photographed the hotel for the second edition of the Lisbon Insiders Magazine and then again the following summer, focusing more specifically on their restaurant, bar and lifestyle images for their social media. The New York Times | São Miguel, Azores
In July I flew out to São Miguel island in the Azores archipelago to photograph for the New York Times Travel. You can read the full article here. The New York Times In the Azores: Earth, Water, Fire and Air, Sometimes All at Once
Hotel Independente Comporta
Last summer I spent a few days out in Comporta photographing the brand new Independente hotel, Independente Comporta. Independente Comporta features 34 Villas, from studios to 5-bedroom courtyard homes, and a 40-bedroom hotel. Their restaurant, Maroto, is headed by chef David Vieira. “Fun and engaging, Maroto was designed to be in perfect harmony with its surroundings. Our commitment to Alentejo flavours is evident in each dish served. We work closely with local producers who maintain sustainable practices, ensuring their freshness but also the inclusion of the community.”

A selection of spreads and some of my favourite images from the second edition of the Lisbon Insiders Magazine, an annual bi-lingual publication highlighting the best places to eat, drink, stay and play in Lisbon.
New York Times | 36 Hours in Lisbon
Back in the spring of 2023 I photographed Lisbon for The New York Times: 36 Hours in Lisbon and had the best time on this shoot. Living in Ericeira means that I´m close enough to get into the city quickly but far enough that I don´t do it daily, which makes it an adventure and Lisbon is a city I´ve been exploring for over 14 years now… it´s so familiar that it´s been a while since I´ve photographed the city with intention.
YON Living | Interior Photographer in Lisbon
Over the last few months I have photographed a series of homes throughout Lisbon for YON Living: “Unforgettable shared living experiences in boutique homes for those with the freedom to live and work from anywhere” These are some of my favourite images from several of the houses. Wings Magazine for Eurowings | May/June 2022
In the spring I was contacted by Wings magazine to photograph a feature on the Shist Villages of central Portugal. With the help and guidance of the team at Aldeias do Xisto, the writer and editor, Lydia and I spent three days road tripping through this relatively unknown region of the country, which in many places seems to have stopped in time. A region of mountains and rivers, small stone villages and narrow, winding roads, this is a part of the country that I haven´t explored much and this assignment was a revelation for me. I will definitely be back…
