Our first morning in Galicia dawned grey, damp and misty… and we discovered that our tent had given up on life during the night and had broken in several places… so it went straight into the bin and we headed off in search of a new one. These things happen when you buy a 20Euro tent, but even so, it lasted us 6 years and several thousand kilometers, so we couldn´t really complain.
We followed the coastline for most of the morning but then decided to push on to A Corunã to buy a tent, plus the weather wasn´t particularly great for sightseeing so we hit the highway all the way up to the north coast. The area around O Grove looks really pretty and it´s all a protected nature reserve, so I´m sure that hiking and kayaking on this coastline must be really amazing… the towns left little impression on us though, we got the sense that they lived for the summer tourism alone and had little life or activity during the off-season… but maybe we needed more time to explore the area in depth.

Love the rope fence images…another great series.
The last photograph is stunning 🙂
Thanks! I think it´s my favourite of the bunch too.
I like the dipytch and how the fence lines seem to also be reflected in the map!
Thank you! I hadn´t even noticed the similarities between the fence lines and the map… I guess it must have been subliminal! 🙂
More gorgeous photos, as always!
