It wasn’t really a photo mission, it was just a dogwalk… but the light was so pretty. Doesn’t look like winter, does it? Don’t be jealous because you have snow and we don’t…
Foz do Lizandro is one of the many beaches on the Ericeira strip of coastline, but it is my favourite for various reasons, the most important being that it is the closest one to my house… I’m lazy like that. It’s long, a good surf spot, generally never full of people, has a river mouth and is also the home of Zé Pequenos favourite girlfriend, Tosca. The fact that she is much bigger than him has never put him off and he has had a huge crush on her ever since he was a little puppy.
So it turns out I remembered one good thing about summer ending: we get our beaches back. And by “we” I mean the dog-loving population of my little town. During the summer (well, technically all year round) dogs are forbidden from setting their little paws on the sand so the beginning of autumn and the absence of life-guards is the sign that our doggies are once again allowed to chase the seagulls and eat indeterminate dead objects buried in the sand. (Joy!) These are a few photos from our last family outing.
Introducing the second most important person in my life right now. (because dogs are people too…) And really, Zé Pequeno is about as human as they get. He loves the sofa, he enjoys the National Geographic channel, (especially when they have bunnies) his favourite meal is roast chicken and his preferred leisure activities are long walks on the beach at sunset, or scenic drives with the windows open. I mean really, it sounds like an advert on a dating service!
