Costa Nova, Aveiro

We recently spent a few days in the middle-of-nowhere, Alentejo, which was fabulous, especially the part where we had no internet connection and barely any cell-phone signal either… the photos from this mini-holiday are coming soon, but before that, I have a bit of a back-log of images taken throughout the past few months that I hadn’t had time to edit until recently (the lack of internet distractions while in the middle-of-nowhere makes one surprisingly productive, even while on holiday!) So first up, some images from a visit to Aveiro…

Back to the blog

Wedding season is drawing to a close, and even though I still have work to finalize and editing to do, I have been dying to get back to my little old blog… where I can do as I please and take photos for no reason at all other than to fill the gaps in my heart. And those gaps have slowly been growing, and with them, the realisation that doing a little bit of my own thing (in between the things that pay the bills) is important, essential even, for my creativity and mental health. Almada

Last week we had a rare wedding-free Saturday night and so we took a trip “across the river” to visit one of our favourite restaurant/bars with good friends and listen to some live music. Officially) and ridiculous amounts of beer. Welcome to the Lisbon sardine festival…

A (late) spring blog post…

As is typical of me I never seem to keep up with current trends and am either way ahead of my time or rocking the retro vibe (insert sarcasm here). So this is therefore my too-cool-for-school justification for my late homage to spring… heck, were practically in summer already, but late is fashionable, or so they say, so here it is! Spring has arrived in Ericeira.

A bit more Óbidos (from the archives)

So shortly after publishing my last post I went off in search of some of my other photos of Óbidos that I was quite sure had been published, if not here on the blog then possibly on the facebook page… but no, apparently not. So here they are, this is one of my favourite towns to spend the day and is a highlight of the various spots I take visiting friends to see, not in the least because there is a little bar at the top end of the town with an enormous tree-shaded terrace, a fantastic view and quite…
