Croatia

We almost didn´t go to Croatia, as we´d heard that wild camping is illegal and that the authorities are super strict and take some sort of peverse pleasure in rooting out campers and making life miserable. But then we decided just to go and see how it was, and if it sucked, we´d just keep moving through quickly. And OMG am I glad that we decided to go because since leaving Portugal and her glorious Atlantic coastline, this was the first place that we stopped and looked at each other and declared that “we could live here”. Fathom | Best Travel Photographers 2017

You guys, I am so stoked… Fathom recently released their annual list of 24 best travel photographers and I made the 2017 selection! And there is no better way to start a trip in Holland than with cheese. And wine. But mainly, cheese. The second thing Sarah said was “I´m not going to show you all the touristy things in Amsterdam, because that´s lame… I´m…

Wine in Lisbon – for Accent Magazine

As promised last week, here a few out-takes and some of my favourite images from a recent assignment for Accent magazine, Aeromexico´s inflight magazine. You can see the tear sheets from the magazine HERE.

Rome in the winter.

Rome was, of course, amazing… always is. We had a wonderful few days, just about walked ourselves to death and ate enough cheese to last a life-time… and of course took loads of photos. The first time I visited Rome I was completely blown away by the architecture, the history, the way of life… but now that I’ve been living in Europe for 3 years, this time around it didn’t seem quite so foreign. The Italian lifestyle is very similar to the Portuguese (the coffee is better but the driving is much worse, which I didn’t think was possible) and…
